What’s a dodo code?

The game Animal Crossing: New Horizons launched a new feature in its series of games: dodo codes. Dodo codes allow players to travel to other players' islands with the use of temporary codes consisting of 5 random letters/numbers. This feature allows players to visit players in other time zones, hemispheres and seasons; this means more chances at finding new fish and bugs, in addition to getting ideas for decorating your own island, and meeting new villagers!

How do I use dodo codes?

In order to use a dodo code, you will first need to head to your island’s airport. There you will see Orville sitting behind a desk. You will then have the option to invite users to your island via a dodo code, or you can visit a different user’s island using local or online play.

How can I find dodo codes?

If you don’t have any friends that play Animal Crossing and need to find islands to visit, it’s super easy to find them on dodocodes.com. All you need to do is go to the codes section of the website, look for available islands that have open spaces, and click “visit island.” After clicking this button, you will be presented a code, and you will then be able to talk to Orville in-game to get to the user’s island. 

How can I share my dodo code?

If you want to attract visitors to your island, you can post your own code on dodocodes.com as well! You’re able to add a short description with your island rules before posting, and you can even set a visitor limit if you don’t want your island to be flooded with people. On the other hand, if you want plenty of visitors, you are also able to set up a queue, so more people can fly to your island after others leave.

How many visitors can be on my island?

As of now, you can have up to eight players on your Animal Crossing:New Horizons island at a time. However, as people leave, more people are able to come.

Can I kick people off of my island?

You can easily kick people off of your Animal Crossing island by pressing the minus button, and selecting to end the multiplayer session. This will kick off every user visiting your island; as of now, there is no way to kick off a single player without kicking all visitors.
